Refund Policy

Version 2026-08-19. Applies to every Koti subscription.

Fourteen days, no questions asked

If you are not happy with Koti, ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment and we will give you your money back in full. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.

This applies to the first payment of a subscription and to each renewal, so an annual renewal you did not want is refundable for 14 days after it is charged.

How to ask

Either of these reaches the right place:

The refund goes back to the payment method you used. It usually lands within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

Your rights are not limited by this

Nothing here reduces any right you have under consumer law. If you are in Brazil, the Consumer Protection Code (Lei nº 8.078/1990, Art. 49) gives you seven days to withdraw from a distance purchase regardless of what this page says; the 14 days above is what we offer on top of that, not instead of it. Consumers elsewhere keep whatever equivalent right applies where they live.

Cancelling, which is not the same thing

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period you are in, and it does not need to — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you want the current period refunded as well, and you are inside the 14 days, ask and we will do both.

The trial, and why it comes first

Every new account gets 30 days of the complete application, free, with no payment method required. Nobody should have to buy Koti to find out whether it suits them, and nothing is charged when a trial ends. The refund window exists for the cases the trial cannot cover — a renewal you forgot about, a machine you no longer use, a change of mind in the first fortnight.

Where we may say no

We will refuse a refund only where an account has been used to break section 6 of the Terms of Service — circumventing the trial limit or the licence check, reselling Koti, or using it to attack other systems. We will say so plainly if that happens.

Repeated refunds across a series of new accounts is the one pattern we treat as abuse rather than as a change of mind.

If we end your subscription

If we terminate an account that has done nothing wrong, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for, whether or not you asked.
